Vallarta Gay+ Community Center

The Vallarta Gay+ Community Center is a nonprofit organization that fosters empowerment, wellness, and inclusivity within the LGBTQ+ community.

We provide PREP, PEP, DoxyPEP, Psychotherapy, HIV tests, STI tests, and their treatment.
• PREP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) is an HIV prevention strategy, which consists of the daily and scheduled intake of a pill (Emtricitabine/Tenofovir) that generates protection in the person’s body to reduce the chances of acquiring HIV in case of being exposed to the virus.
• PEP, or Post-Exposure Prophylaxis, is a crucial drug that prevents HIV transmission for those who have engaged in unprotected sex. By taking PEP within a 72-hour window, individuals can significantly lower the risk of infection.
• Doxycycline Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (DoxyPEP) is an antibiotic that is taken after sex (24 hours), to prevent getting a sexually transmitted infection (STI). A morning-after pill for STIs.
We also offer community activities like Yoga, Salsa lessons, an HIV support group, a Substance abuse support group, and more.
