Bonito Kitchen & Bar, Zona Romantica

We’re a casual and cozy restaurant serving small Asian plates—from fun improvisations to faithful renditions of classic dishes we love, like ramen! We love the name “bonito” because it’s both the Spanish word for “beautiful” and the name of one of the most important fish in Japanese cuisine. Thus, it’s the perfect name for a restaurant that seeks to explore the shared traits in the cuisines of Vallarta and Asia, delving into our mutual love for funk, citrusy brightness, and carefully calibrated spice.

At Bonito Kitchen, we care about the community we work and live in. We are proudly committed to supporting and making a difference in our community.

Every month, part of our proceeds will be donated to local and international charities, covering a variety of causes, from clean drinking water, hot meals, and a market pantry to healthcare access and education.
