So, for a couple of months, I have been meaning to do this post and share my VERY strong recommendation of DR. GUSTVO at WHITE SMILE STUDIO in Puerto Vallarta!

I'm finally getting around to this post that should have been done ages ago! Better late than never I guess! I have ALWAYS had a very funky under-bite. As a child, teen, and adult I was accurately told by
every single dentist that I ever went to, that this could only be fixed by major jaw surgery that, although would fix my bite and make my facial proportions "better" would also render me mostly unrecognizable.

As an adult, I decided that I had grown used to my funny face and my jawline, and I opted out of that surgery once and for all. For the most part, the teeth in my mouth that show when I smile or talk, have been reasonably straight and white for all of my life - so not really a problem. However, in recent years, due to the pressure on my teeth as related to my awkward bite, I have noticed my top teeth moving in a way that I didn't love. So, this past summer I got consults with three dentists to see what could be done. And in the fall, I happily went forward with Dr. Gustavo for six top tooth veneers. Dr. Gustavo really listened when I told him that I wanted my veneers to be natural and like my original teeth (before they started moving).

He heard me when I acknowledged that my two front teeth had always had a bit of a "rabbit teeth" look and that I kind of liked that. He answered all of my questions, guaranteed his work, took so much time with me, and clearly he is excited by the artistry of what he does. He also was very honest about what I didn't need done, even though it would of generated more income for him - which I really appreciated. I knew I made the right choice in working with him. And, not only did he give me exactly what I wanted - teeth that looked like my own but better - he also managed to align the teeth in such a way that it has actually corrected my bit a bit! I did not expect this at all, and I have to say that my bite and my mouth are comfortable in a way that I have not ever known. I am thrilled as you can imagine! And, another very unexpected added plus - I can now roll my "R's" a bit when I am speaking Spanish! I swear, no matter how hard I tried, I could not roll a single, dang "R" before getting my teeth fixed. Who knew?? I am SO glad that I made the decision to do this.
