Fluvial Vallarta has become one of Puerto Vallarta’s most popular neighborhoods, partly because it is near some of its best hospitals.
Fluvial Vallarta is one of the top areas in town. It offers close access to nearly everything: Costco, La Comer, restaurants, parks, government offices, insurance offices, and, most importantly, medical care.
While Fluvial doesn’t have hospitals within its boundaries, it is conveniently close to three of the city’s leading hospitals, all less than five minutes away by car. The hospitals are the following:
- – Vallarta Medical Center
- – CMQ Premiere
- – Hospital Joya
Vallarta Medical Center Hospital
Vallarta Medical Center is located across from the Plaza Caracol parking lot in the Diaz Ordaz neighborhood, adjacent to Fluvial Vallarta. This hospital is among the most comprehensive in the city, with bilingual staff and well-known orthopedics specialists, such as Dr. Alberto Marron and Dr. Jose Manuel Hernandez.
The facility also has an ICU, operating rooms, nuclear medicine, and a wide range of specialties to provide optimal health care.
Along the same avenue, you’ll find an array of clinics, labs, and pharmacies that offer excellent customer service at reasonable prices, such as:
- Derma Health Clinic Specializes in dermatology, with a team of around eight dermatologists and an on-site pharmacy. A family member of mine received treatment here, and the results were excellent. Many of my clients and friends also speak highly of this clinic.
- Dental Laboratory: Offering comprehensive dental services.
- General Laboratories: For routine tests and health screenings.
CMQ Premiere Hospital
Located on Francisco Villa Avenue, one of the city’s main thoroughfares, CMQ Premiere is also easily accessible from Fluvial Vallarta. It boasts renowned specialists, including Dr. Max Greig, a well-respected orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacements.
This hospital also has an ICU, operating rooms, and a variety of specialties to provide top-notch care.
Joya Hospital
Situated on Francisco Medina Ascencio Avenue, the city’s main avenue, Hospital Joya is another highly complete medical facility. It is home to experienced physicians, such as Dr. Armando Joya, a bariatric surgeon with many years of experience treating local and international patients.
Like the others, Hospital Joya offers ICU services, operating rooms, and a comprehensive range of patient care specialties.
Pharmacies in Fluvial Vallarta
In addition to the pharmacies located within Costco and La Comer, there are two 24-hour options: Farmacia Guadalajara and Farmacia del Ahorro. Both are located on Av. Fluvial Vallarta, between Plaza Caracol and Costco. They are among the most well-known pharmacy chains in the country.
In summary, Fluvial can be a good option if you want to live in a central place with access to many essential services. I have lived in Puerto Vallarta for 20 years and four years in Fluvial, the neighborhood I have liked most.
