I am related to weddings since I have memories, as a Mexican, weddings are a must in family traditions.
In my early days, I was always drawn to the wedding cake topper: a couple dressed up in their wedding outfits, a pretty girl in her wedding dress, and an elegant boy in his wedding suit. I always wondered, what if there were two boys for the cake topper?
That thought came back to me when I saw Kevin Levesque (a.k.a. Miss Conception) and Kieran Thomas standing in front of the altar. In the background, they were illuminated by a beautiful sunset with golden tones characteristic of Puerto Vallarta, and their guests watched attentively as they were united as husband and husband.
At that moment, I realized I was born for this, standing at the back of the celebration, observing every detail that made it an unforgettable night.
As a wedding planner, I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of countless weddings. I have so many memories that it’s sometimes impossible to recall them all. But one thing I’m sure of is that love is priceless and immeasurable, especially when celebrated the way Kevin and Kieran did.
For them, there were no borders or distances. Their closest friends and family came from Canada to celebrate, along with their local and foreign friends based in Puerto Vallarta, and show business colleagues on tour in the city. Everyone united for one reason: to celebrate the love of this beautiful couple who decided to share one of the most special days of their lives with them.
Although the two most important people to the couple couldn’t be present, they were there in their hearts, and we could all feel their presence due to the eternal love that embraces them from heaven: Patricia Elizabeth Whitaker and Helena Adair, their mothers.
On the other hand, Derril Thomas, Kieran’s father, had the opportunity to witness his son’s wedding, and with an emotional hug, he sealed what many know as a father’s love. The surprises continued to arrive. Kevin’s father, Robert Levesque, and his family, who were unable to travel from Canada, were present via a screen we installed, where he witnessed his son’s wedding in real time and offered a few words of love and gratitude to everyone present.
Amid tears and laughs, the celebration began after the couple’s “I do,” kicking off with cocktails accompanied by Vallarta’s favorite band, Piel Canela, and Mexican mariachi music. Guests also enjoyed treats from Let’s Pho PV and El Tazón Verde restaurants.
The staff from Diseño Social wedding agency handled the decor, floral design, lighting, excellent bar and waiter service, and the incredible DJ who livened up the evening with a setup that featured an LED-lit dance floor and an outstanding repertoire of music that kept attendees dancing from start to finish.
Before the party ended, guests were treated to an incredible fire dancer show, whose daring acrobatics amazed more than a few attendees. With high spirits, the celebration continued with an incredible three-minute fireworks display, lighting the sky to the rhythm of Katy Perry’s song “Firework.”
The nearly 120 guests who gathered at Villa Castillo in Conchas Chinas enjoyed an unforgettable wedding, with an event that exceeded expectations and was conceived almost theatrically thanks to the planning and execution of a great team of professionals.
